Winter here, warm weather there! Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Here we are in the dead of winter so I thought it would be a good time to think of a nice warm place to be.  The Big Island of Hawaii fits the bill.  If you haven't been there, it is a wonderland of exploration.  On our trip there, Hawaii was the only place in the United States to get snow.  We were on the beach that day enjoying the water looking up at the snow.  Beaches and mountains aren't all there is though...desert, tropical forests and yes volcanoes and flowing lava.
